About Art X Scrubs

Who We Are

Art X Scrubs is an Australian medical scrubs company. We create quality, Australian designed garments ethically and environmentally responsible, while remaining true to the need for ultimate comfort and style.

We are WA born siblings; Aaron Rutter and Brie Rutter. We have both forged careers in the arts and fashion design industries over the past decade. We’ve been raised by a passionate and hard-working nurse and know the demands of the healthcare industry. Together, with our flare for design and desire to make a difference, Art X Scrubs was born.

COMFORTABLE

Our material thread blend has been carefully curated to suit healthcare professionals and the unrelenting, physical nature of their work. The garments are moisture wicking to support body temperature regulation, have stretch qualities and are soft to touch. The cut of each scrub is also carefully designed to move with the body and are a relaxed fit.

AUSTRALIAN ARTSTS

Art X Scrubs feature individual prints by Australian designers. Our artists include Aboriginal designers and a selection of passionate creatives from around Australia, all offering their unique style.

SUSTAINABLE

A key feature of our range is the composition of the fabric. The yarn consists of botanic fibres woven by LENZING™, who are committed to environmental sustainability. They source wood from controlled sources which are either FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) certified. The fibres are extracted by an environmentally responsible process, which is self-sufficient in energy and recovers co-products from any remaining parts of the wood.
Our range is fully certified by LENZING WORKWEAR™, which means your all-day comfort at work is a promise. Our scrubs are butter soft, breathable, moisture wicking and have the perfect amount of stretch. They feel twice as soft as cotton and are built withstand repeated washing, dry cycles and those long shifts. 

FUNCTIONAL

Our scrub design features three well positioned pockets, plus two pen pockets. The side-seam is open at the hip to allow greater reach when accessing machinery across hospital beds or assisting patients. LENZING™ fibres are hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, breathable, quick drying and light weight.
